Yesterday we had to read a book and then create a new outfit for Santa Claus. The first thing we had to do was to read a story from a learning journal. The story was called Hana Kōkō, it was about a family who loves to sell jams and other stuff, the headmaster went and asked the dad to wear a Santa outfit, but when the dad got back home, he had an idea. You can keep reading on the link. After we had finish reading the story we had started our create. It was to make a new summer outfit for him. Here is my one.

ReplyDeleteKa pai, you have come up with a great new outfit for Santa!
I really like that you’ve used examples of what you’ve seen the people in your hometown wear as inspiration! It made me smile when you included “so Mrs Claus won’t get mad,” because I like to think that Mrs Claus helps Santa behind the scenes when he is forgetful! He definitely has lots to remember!
I also really like that you’ve included things to help take care of Santa, like the hat so he doesn’t get sunburnt, and the reindeer on his shirt so he remembers to look after his lovely animals. This was a very thoughtful way to choose his outfit, so well done!
What do you think your dad would choose to wear if he had to dress up as a kiwi Santa Claus?
Ngā mihi nui Selina and keep up the great work!

Kia ora Selina,
ReplyDeleteI really like your outfit. Especially the reindeer on the t-shirt. It is such a good idea! Jandals and a hat are a must in our home town. Would the santa arrive with the reindeer?
