Treasure map code - Summer Learning Journey

Today we had to learn a new code to solve where the lion rock is. Pigpen cipher is the code we had to learn and use to solve what it was saying. We first had to watch these videos, pigpen cipher and cool codes for kids pigpen cipher. Then we had to complete a set of slides and at the end we made our own code of our favorite beach, I don't have a favorite beach because I think that all beaches are nice. Here is my work.

  1. Kia Ora Selina,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

This activity is one of my favourites as I love code languages like pigeon code and also my Mum actually made this activity for the summer learning journey!!

You did an awesome job with this post, I enjoyed your slideshow and you deciphered the code perfectly, it is the famous hidden cave at Piha Beach!!

I thought it was really great that you included your code as an emoji almost like it was a code or treasure map on its own. I thought your code was quite tricky but I think I have deciphered it. Is it “Waikanae beach is a good beach to go to”.

Let me know if I guessed it correctly!!

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
